The World Health Organisation estimates 285 million people are visually impaired and 39 million blind worldwide – 48% of these are blind because of cataracts even though cataracts are easily treated through surgery!
Sight is the most treasured of our five senses. It can make a difference between a life of poverty or a life of opportunities.
The Australian Health Humanitarian Aid (AHHA) is a charity we hold dearly to our hearts. Every year a field trip is organised to Cambodia to provide free cutting-edge cataract surgeries, deliver eye care and dispense prescription glasses.
At Eyecare Network we are making a difference by donating to AHHA $5 for each pair of optical glasses sold. With every $5 we are able to fund an eye exam as well as a pair of glasses in Cambodia.
We would like to thank our patients for helping us improve vision globally. Let’s continue to make a difference to the world we live in!
